Muitos desses jovens se tornar\u00e3o v\u00edtimas de tr\u00e1fico sexual ou de trabalho.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por meio de estudos e pesquisas, especialistas descobriram que as taxas de tr\u00e1fico entre os jovens sem-teto variam de 19% a 40%. Usando a estimativa mais baixa de 1 em cada 5 jovens de rua tamb\u00e9m sendo traficados para sexo, trabalho ou ambos, isso significa que aproximadamente 800.000 jovens de rua tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o sobreviventes do tr\u00e1fico humano. Tamb\u00e9m sabemos que tanto a falta de moradia quanto o tr\u00e1fico ocorrem em todas as comunidades americanas \u2013 incluindo cidades, sub\u00farbios, comunidades rurais e reservas ind\u00edgenas americanas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ao analisarmos as trajet\u00f3rias do tr\u00e1fico sexual e de trabalho e as trajet\u00f3rias de sem-teto para os jovens, perceberemos que s\u00e3o muito semelhantes \u2013 marcadas por traumas e por estarem em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de vulnerabilidade. Alguns jovens sem-teto s\u00e3o mais vulner\u00e1veis \u200b\u200bao tr\u00e1fico humano do que outros; e entrevistas com esses jovens ilustram alguns temas comuns:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A falta de necessidades b\u00e1sicas, como n\u00e3o ter um lugar seguro para dormir \u00e0 noite, muitas vezes desempenha um papel importante em suas experi\u00eancias de tr\u00e1fico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traumas precoces, como falta de moradia e explora\u00e7\u00e3o, come\u00e7am cedo, muitas vezes antes dos 18 anos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os jovens LGBTQ+ s\u00e3o particularmente vulner\u00e1veis \u200b\u200be sofrem tr\u00e1fico em taxas mais altas do que outros jovens sem-teto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os jovens que estavam em orfanatos tamb\u00e9m enfrentam taxas mais altas de tr\u00e1fico do que outros jovens sem-teto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Os jovens que vivem nas ruas e foram v\u00edtimas de tr\u00e1fico sexual s\u00e3o mais propensos a ter problemas de sa\u00fade mental e uso de subst\u00e2ncias, sofreram abuso f\u00edsico e emocional por parte dos pais ou respons\u00e1veis \u200b\u200be t\u00eam hist\u00f3rico de abuso sexual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Servir jovens sem-teto previne o tr\u00e1fico de pessoas e aumenta o apoio aos sobreviventes do tr\u00e1fico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jovens v\u00edtimas de tr\u00e1fico \u2013 sexo, trabalho ou ambos \u2013 n\u00e3o costumam revelar isso quando participam de um programa de servi\u00e7o para jovens baseado na comunidade.
