Session to include the Portuguese language (Brazil), among others such as Spanish, Vietnamese and Haitian Creole, in the communication channels of public services, as a service to the growing population of immigrant residents, with English as a second language, which keeps barriers to need support from utilities in the Orange County area where Orlando is located.
The Hope & Justice Foundation, in the person of its president and founder Anna Alves-Lazaro, was present to support the vote on this important bill, and also made itself available to support public bodies in the development of this work and register our support for the Brazilian community in Orlando and Central, Florida, as well as being the voice of victims and survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Ambassador Unaldo Eugênio Vieira de Sousa and other authorities representing the Brazilian Consulate in Orlando were also present, demonstrating the standard of the Brazilian community in the region.
